Advent Day 17

Our sweet neighbor invited us over to make Christmas cookies with her grandkids (who happen to be some of our best friends!)

Langdon was definitely more interested in eating the icing directly out of the bowl. Once he started in on the cookies, though, he didn't come up for air.

Advent Day 16

They got ornaments

Again, I forgot to get a picture of us before the "Lessons and Carols" at church - which is a shame because we were all showered and dressed. It was a beautiful program!

Merry Christmas

Advent Day 14

Nix "found" the Grinch book for them (it had been in hiding since last Christmas)

We had such a great time at our dinner (Larry's Fish House) that I forgot to get a picture - sorry!

Advent Day 12

We went to lunch at Old Venice. We weren't looking at our watches, but I believe that the kids were eating a yummy piece of chocolate caramel pie at 12:12 on 12/12/12

We went to the Gingerbread House Village at Ole Miss

Langdon was not interested in posing for a picture in front of the tree

Advent Day 11

Excited to see big sister perform on the stage

This is the best we could do. There were too many things there to distract from smiling for pictures

Trying to get a smile out of the kids, Gary said "Don't smile" in a taunting voice. Well, Mary Laine took him very literally... and I love the picture :)

Later that night, we took the kids to the Museum of the Mississippi Delta for story-hour with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Mary Laine was captivated by the stories and it was a perfect way of warming her up to Santa. When it was time to go and sit in his lap, she rushed up there like a girl on a mission. What does she want for Christmas? "A Dream Lite and some colors".

December catch-up

The day that we decorated the house for Christmas, our old friend Nix reappeared (our Elf on the Shelf). He had a card telling the kids that Grammy and Pop-Pop had sent their Christmas present with him for the kids to enjoy throughout Advent before it got too cold to play in the yard. They LOVED it!

Decorating the Christmas Tree

The Advent cards are back - and are an even bigger hit than they were last year!

We ran into Mary Laine's teacher, Ms. Tami.'

The kids' faces pretty much sum up their desire to have their picture taken with Santa.

We love Ann Grace and Mamie!

Langdon's buddy Luther watched with us.

This is Langdon's face as the cheerleaders were passing by. And Luther was trying to show them some leg.

That fire engine sure is loud!!

Our friend Miss Katy came by

And we were so impressed with the Young Professionals float and our friends' costumes!

Now that we're back up, I'll get better about taking pictures of all of our advent activities.
