Happy 3rd Birthday Langdon!

Today, Langdon turned three years old. It's hard to remember what our family was like without him. I know that it was much more quiet, but along with the noise comes more laughter. Langdon is like his daddy in more ways than one. Not only is he his little mini-me, but he also has alot of his personality. He is funny and loves to get a laugh. He is very smart, but he doesn't like to show that off very often. When asked how old he is, even though he knows he's three, he'll say 5, because it's just funnier. We have alot of "funny Langdon stories", and most involve pressing his big sister's buttons.

I decided that it was time to start giving him my yearly questionairre. He hadn't had a nap and had injested alot of sugar, so it was a little hard for him to concentrate for very long, but this is what we got. The "I Worry" question is my favorite. Also, you can tell that he and Mary Laine had just been fighting over his birthday balloons and that he got a train set that he had been playing with all afternoon:

I AM... Langdon
I WAS... 3 1/2
I HAVE... "I don't know"

I GO... to our "country house"
I WENT... to a clubhouse
I CAN... "I don't know"
I DON'T...know
I FEEL... nothing
I DANCE... "I don't dance"
I READ... cake
I WRITE... pens
I BELIEVE... nothing
I AM SCARED... of a bear (**drawn out into two syllables when he says it)

And guess what I did on my first morning that both of my babies were at school? I went and held this precious one:

They both had a great first day, got good reports, and got to show me some of their work:

St. Jude

I'm sure since I only put up posts about twice a year, I've lost all of my readers except Susanne and Laura (hello to two of my favorite people on the planet!) I thought that I would put this up here, though, just in case anyone happens upon it and wants to donate. This is a great organization and a very worthwhile cause...

I am participating in the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend to support the kids of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Will you help me support St. Jude by donating today? http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/Heroes/Heroes?px=2243120&pg=personal&fr_id=4820

How your donation helps:
  • Thanks to donors like you, no family ever pays St. Jude for anything, including lodging, food and travel.
  • St. Jude will continue to improve treatment of childhood cancer and other deadly diseases through its groundbreaking research.
  • For every child treated here, thousands more have been saved worldwide through St. Jude discoveries.
Please visit my St. Jude Heroes fundraising page to make a donation.
Thank you for your support!

First sleep-over

Mary Laine spent the night out for the first time with her sweet friend Sadie :)

Mary Laine turns 4 (and a half)

As always, we waited to have Mary Laine's birthday party until summer, so it was actually on her half birthday. She knew exactly what she wanted this year and requested a Peter Pan party at our "Country House" (our rental). It was a beautiful day for a party and Mary Laine was thrilled to be able to host all of her friends. Surprisingly, the bubble machine (a last-minute addition) was BY FAR the hit of the party.
