Pray for Walker

My brother Walker was in a terrible car accident last Friday morning. He was hit by an 18-wheeler as he was driving to Memphis. After being air-lifted to Birmingham, his left leg was amputated (below the knee). His third surgery was this morning, and we are hopeful that he will be coming home this weekend. I have never seen such strength and courage as I have seen from Walker over the past few days. His concern has not been for himself or his leg, but for his family and our emotions. He is always reassuring us that he is fine and so thankful to be alive. Please pray for Walker as he continues to heal and adjust. We are so thankful that "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)

As I have mentioned in previous posts, Mary Laine love love loves her Uncle Walker! She misses him so much and can't wait for him to be home again:

So sorry to hear about Walker, but it sounds like he's a man of great faith. I will keep him in my prayers and I wish him a speedy recovery, especially so Mary Laine won't have to be so upset. :)
